Yesterday we visited Marine World in Uminonakamichi, Fukuoka. It was lovely! After a pretty stressful and transfer-filled train ride, it turned out to be a pretty warm, sunny day. It's been warming up the last few days, so hopefully the rain will stay far away!

We got there and were hungry, so we visited the downstairs café...which looked directly into the giant dolphin pool. It was amazing beyond all words! Sophie had spaghetti that mostly ended up all over her face and Jim had ramen, which is what Fukuoka is most known for.
After lunch, we ventured upstairs to the dolphin show.
Before the show started, one dolphin was playing catch with a rock or something. So cute!

Dolphins!
Afterwards, we walked around and saw sea turtles and other sea animals.
In the shark tank, the diver had a camera that was projected on a screen. It was all in Japanese, but still pretty cool!
These tiny crabs/lobster/shrimp things were Sophie's favorites! They had hearts on their backs.
It was a great day! And since Sophie was such a good girl (no accidents in her underwear!) that she got to pick out a little stuffed penguin before we left!
