Yesterday and today, we went to Ohori Park in Fukuoka. It's literally a 15 minute walk from our front door. To get there, you have to walk past Fukuoka Castle Ruins as well, which has Ume trees (plum) that are blooming now. In a few weeks, the Sakura blossoms (cherry) will be here. It smells like heaven. Much wildlife lives there as well. Once in the park, there is a pond with a path around it, with a few play areas, a few restaurants, Starbucks, and swan paddle boats. Here are a few pictures of the park, Sophie, and the Ume blossoms. Forgive me, I couldn't decide on just a few. There were many, many people out taking and painting pictures. It was lovely.
How beautiful Adrienne. You have taken so many great pictures, and these are what you can hold on to as you come back to the US.
