We decided to make a day off one to remember, so we hopped a train up to Salisbury, then a double decker bus up to see the strangely-arranged stones at Stonehenge. (Click the link for more historical information.) It was about a 40 minute bus trip out to the middle of a big field. It was also the coldest, rainiest, windiest day we could have chosen for the trip. It was miserable! But then a minute later the sun came out. So funny! Not only was the weather strange, but there seemed to be a haze around the stones as well, which was a bit creepy. Once we finished there, the bus took us back to Salisbury, which was CHARMING! I could totally live there. We had fish n chips for dinner and had hot chocolate before heading to the train station for home. Overall, it was a nice day with family. And now we can say we saw it with our own eyes.
